Well Mother Nature did not co-operate with us on our special day. Most acts scheduled to appear on the performance stage made an executive decisions and cancelled their performances due to severe storms. While we were disappointed with the somewhat empty stage, safety of the performers and spectators was paramount. In addition to the stage cancellations our local High Schools' Paint-A-Car Competition was also suspended. Yes....suspended.
After an on line voting competition, Niagara Christian Collegiate was crowned the winner. All three schools projects were amazing and congratulations to the teams and their teachers for a great job and a great time!
I am honoured to participate in the 2nd annual Taste of Fort Erie (TOFE) Festival to be held on Jarvis Street in the downtown Bridgeburg District of Fort Erie. After a huge success in the inaugural event last year, this year's venue plans to be bigger and better! Together with my co-artist partner, Michelle Morrissey, we will be transforming The Performance Art Stage into a platform of song, dance and artistic talents.
The tumblers are all suited up and ready to march on Saturday, September 17th, 2016. After spending a fair amount of time with them over the past couple months, they kind of grew on Michelle and I. After completing their final appearance and admiring their outfits, each of them resembled a character to which we named. Without further ado, we present the performance stage tumblers:
Step 3 - Tumbler's dress up
Together with my co-artist colleague, Michelle, we tackled the Tumblers by adding some pretty bright colours to their forms.
Step 2 - A Splash of Colour
Setting aside few cans of vibrant colours, the tumbler's are getting ready to get all dressed up for their public debut!
Step 1 - Prepping
With the talents of Michelle, she created, formed and cut out these little tumblers well in advance of them arriving at the Bell Tower for further preparations. Here they are getting all "primed" and ready to go!
