On Line Poll-2016

​For the month of November 2016, an on line poll was created to ask viewers their suggestion for the next art creation.  The results were tallied and the front winner with 53% of the votes was the Orioles on Feeder.  Runner up with 33% was the Niagara River Sunset followed by Loborough Lake Sunset and Snow on Trees abstracted tied with 7% of the votes.

So, without further ado, I am pleased to introduce the on line poll creation..  The 11x14x1-1/2 inch Gallery Wrapped Canvas will be detailed using Grumbacher Mediums.

The nice thing about creating a painting is you can use your imagination. While I use a 5x7 photo for reference to detail, the original photo is being altered to remove a garage in the background and is being replaced with greenery.

#4 Detailing greens with a 00 old school brush

#5 First layer of background green & Peony patch done.

#6 Adding branches & contrast to imaginary shrub background

#7 Finishing touches on shrubs and start of beautiful Oriole colours

#8 Detailing post with a Raw Umber and Titanium White wash adding a wash of Sap Green

#9 Detailing upper post but needs more time to dry before moving left.

#10-Starting to detail front and back clothes posts along with nuts and bolts.

#11 Working on little red roof and start of Orioles around Jelly Feeder

#12 Adding more reds and yellow shades to the feeder.

#13 Canvas completely covered! Detailing feeder and miscellaneous background features

#14 A little celebration after tapping out and declaring this a finish!

#15 Finished project. Time to cure for the next year!
